How much do the ads cost?
The ads are FREE to NAFCU members to use as they are. If you would like to customize the end of an ad to include your credit union information and messaging there is a flat, one-time fee of $150 payable to the creator of the ad (unless otherwise noted on the Ad Request Form). There are no additional royalty payments or license fees. Click here to see examples of customized ads.

Why were the videos updated? Do I need to pay for new customizations?
NCUA has issued new rules requiring all federally insured credit unions to use a legible version of the NCUA insured logo or text "Federally insured by NCUA" on all advertisements, effective January 1, 2012. The NAFCU Services videos for credit unions were all updated in August 2011 to comply with this new rule. If you already have any of our videos and are either still using them or plan to use them, please request an updated version from us by filling out the request form. Videos that you have paid to have customized for your credit union before these updates where made may be updated with the NCUA insured logo or required text for a smaller fee than a complete video customization. (See request form for specific fees for this minor update.)

NOTE: The Federally Insured videos already met these new requirements, so do not need to be updated if you've already had them customized.

How do I use these ads for my credit union?
The best use of the ads would be to post them on your Web site, link to them in online or email marketing campaigns, as local television commercials, in local movie theaters, on your branch television system, in SEG presentations and any other way you can think of in order to build market presence and brand awareness for your credit union.

How do I use the PSAs for my credit union?
Public service announcements (PSAs) are a great way to show support for your local community and generate brand awareness for your credit union. In addition, placing PSAs on local television/cable stations and radio is free.
See our PSA Submission Guidelines for tips on how to place your identity theft PSAs in your local media. You can also post the PSAs on your website or run them in your branches to help educate your members about the risk of identity theft and how to avoid becoming an identity theft victim.

Can I use more than one ad?
You may use more than one ad. There will be a one-time $150 fee ($200 for the Spanish-language ad) for each ad that you have customized. For consistent messaging, it is advised that you use one ad per campaign or one ad at a time.

I'm not a NAFCU member – can I still use the ads?
